Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) can occur when the mother loses a significant amount of blood after childbirth.

PPH is consistently one of the top three causes of maternal mortality and is often the leading cause of maternal death; even in developed countries. Studies suggest that 73-93% of bleeding deaths are preventable.

Early and proper intervention is vital. A rapid-response system is critical. Ebb provides a complete tamponade solution to the emergency of postpartum haemorrhage.

One balloon is inflated in the womb and another just outside to stop postpartum bleeding. The malleable balloons design allows it to conform to the patient’s anatomy. The unique second balloon anchors the system, reducing the risk of device expulsion.

Central catheter lumens allow for the controlled aspiration and flushing of the site and help confirm that the treatment has been successful. The unprecedented level of control this design delivers has lead to a dramatic improvement in patient outcomes in the field.
